A concert and an exhibition on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of composer Pancho Vladigerov will be held in the Small Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum Bucharest on November 27, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Romania told BTA. The event is organized by the Pancho Vladigerov House Museum together with the hosts of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and with the assistance of Bulgaria’s diplomatic mission in the Romanian capital and the support of Sofia Municipality. BTA is a media partner of the event.
The concert of works by Vladigerov will restore an original chamber programme from 1941, performed today by the Bulgarian performers Stoimen Peev (violin), Atanas Krastev (cello) and Martina Tabakova (piano).
The event will also present the art-documentary exhibition "Pancho Vladigerov in the Musical Kaleidoscope of the Twentieth Century”. The initiative is not only a tribute to Vladigerov, but also a symbol of the long-standing cultural and diplomatic ties between Bulgaria and Romania.
Guests at the concert and exhibition will have the opportunity to observe a combination of musical art and documentary information that showcases the creative links between the Bulgarian and Romanian music scenes in the 20th century.
