Dimitar Glavchev has a second opportunity to present a cabinet that will make elections fair and transparent, Vice President Iliana Iotova told journalists when asked about her expectations whether there will be a second caretaker government with him at the helm.
“In the last few days, with his actions, the Interior Minister has shown that he wants and strives for a political career. There is no way such a person could hold fair elections in Bulgaria,” Iotova further said when asked why Kalin Stoyanov is not suitable for the post of interior minister.
Asked if there was a figure to take the post, she said that Glavchev would decide that. “We leave everything in his hands and we will see the result on Monday,” the Vice-President added.
Vice President Iliana Iotova participated in the celebrations at the Shipka Freedom Monument on the occasion of the 147th anniversary of the Battle for Shipka Pass. The Shipka Epopee is a series of battles between Bulgarians defending the Shipka Pass and the Ottoman army during the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878).
“Shipka is the energy of our memory and freedom, and freedom brings strength. We need new strength and new energy today, Vice President Iotova said addressing the people gathered from all over Bulgaria.
