site.btaTwo Russian Citizens Die in Traffic Accident near Sunny Beach Resort

Two Russian citizens - a 60-year-old woman and her 65-year-old husband - died on the spot in a traffic accident on the Burgas-Varna main road, in the area of the Sunny Beach resort. The two were crossing the road in the wrong place when they were hit by a taxi car, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The driver, a 74-year-old man from Sveti Vlas (on the Black Sea), was tested for alcohol and drugs. Both samples were negative. The incident occurred on Thursday evening.

The scene of the accident was inspected. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated.
