site.btaCabinet Approves 2024 Plan for Implementation of Updated Demographic Development Strategy of Bulgaria

At its regular sitting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved the 2024 Plan for the implementation of the Updated Demographic Development Strategy of Bulgaria for the 2012-2030 period. 

The document includes up-to-date measures to promote fertility by creating a favourable environment for raising and educating children, improving the reproductive and general health of the population, and reducing mortality.

The Plan also contains actions to promote employment, reduce poverty, adapt social systems to demographic change and population ageing, and create conditions for equal access to quality pre-school and school education. All measures are aimed at positively influencing the main demographic indicators - fertility, mortality and migration, as well as at developing the quality of human resources.
