China will expand its visa-free arrangements to include Bulgaria, Japan, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro and other countries, a Foreign Ministry сpokesperson said on Friday, as reported by Reuters.

These countries will be part of the programme from November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025.

Additionally, Beijing will extend the visa-free stay to 30 days from 15 days for citizens of all 38 countries within its visa-free programme, according to China's state television CCTV.

China has previously granted visa-free arrangements for South Korea and some European countries to boost tourism and trade amid a sluggish economy, Reuters said.
