1888: Parliament passes Bulgaria's first Bar Act.
1897: First trade agreement with France is gazetted.
1919: Parliament adopts Act on Trial and Punishment of the Culprits for the National Catastrophe, actively involved in declaring war in 1915-1918 without convening National Assembly first.
1952: Li-2 aircraft, flying from Sofia to Varna, crashes at Vezhen Peak in Central Balkan Range, killing all 26 passengers and 4 crew on board.
1990: Seventh Grand National Assembly amends Constitution, removing coat of arms from national flag.
2000: First transaction in securities effected on Bulgarian Stock Exchange: sale of 100 two-year government bonds at BGN 103.68 each.
2006: Parliament ratifies UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, adopted in Paris on October 20, 2005.
