site.btaDefence Ministry: Air Forces of Bulgaria, US Begin Joint Training

The Third Air Base is hosting the Bulgarian-American joint training Falcon Defender 2024 and Falcon Responder 2024 from June 10 to 14, Defence Ministry said in a press release on Monday.

For the fourth consecutive year, Bulgarian and American servicemen will train alongside instructors and servicemen from the Tennessee Air National Guard, USA. On the Bulgarian side, servicemen from the Air Force aviation units from the Third Air Base, 24th Air Base, 22nd Air Base and 12th Air Base will participate. 

The exchange of international experience in the previous years has contributed to the development of the practical skills and knowledge of specialists to implement standard operating procedures for incident response in and around buildings and controlled access areas. The joint training activities also have a specific focus on training personnel in F-16 firefighting, special firefighting equipment, first aid and emergency rescue.
