site.btaPM Glavchev: Sending Bulgarian Soldiers to Ukraine Has Never Been Discussed
Sending Bulgarian soldiers to Ukraine has never been discussed, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at the beginning of the Council of Ministers' sitting on Wednesday. Glavchev pointed out that the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly held in Sofia has given "an opportunity for some to show their capabilities again in the face of hybrid attacks and disinformation", not specifying to whom he was referring.
The rumour that Bulgaria is going to send soldiers to Ukraine has nothing to do with the truth, Glavchev said. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg himself said that not only Bulgaria, but NATO as an alliance in general has no such intentions, the caretaker Prime Minister underscored.
In his words, the caretaker cabinet is always there to tell the truth and it is the best way to prevent hybrid attacks and to combat disinformation.
