site.btaGermany’s Social Democratic Party to Meet in Albena Resort

The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), one of the leading political forces in the federal republic, will hold its spring meeting in the Albena resort, its press office said on Thursday.

The event is scheduled for May 27 - June 3, and is part of SPD's annual internal party calendar. Each year, they hold their biggest event called the Spring Meeting, to which all party members and supporters are invited. The week-long trip is chosen to be in a different location around the world and is filled with many events, special dinners, political forums and meetings. Members use the opportunity to talk to each other and exchange impressions.

More than 180 delegates are expected to arrive in the Bulgarian resort and the programme includes reports and political addresses from the top leadership, discussions on current domestic political issues and the international situation.
