site.btaTwo New Deputy Ministers of Education and Science Appointed

Bulgarian caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has ordered the appointment of Tanya Mihaylova and Nikolay Vitanov as Deputy Ministers of Education and Science, the Government Information Service said on Tuesday.

Mihaylova has a long teaching career. She is currently Principal of the M.V. Lomonosov Vocational High School of Precision Engineering and Optics in Sofia, She served as deputy minister of education and science between 2017 and 2021.

Prof. Nikolay Vitanov has been full member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (academician) since 2021. Between 2015 and 2023, he was deputy rector of the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia in charge of scientific research and research projects. His scientific pursuits are in quantum informatics, quantum mechanics, quantum optics, computers, sensors, etc.
