Truck traffic is heavy at some of Bulgaria's border control checkpoints with Turkiye, Border Police said on their website on Thursday. The information is valid as at 6 a.m.
There is heavy outbound truck traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo checkpoints. Temporarily, traffic through the Malko Tarnovo border crossing will be carried out in one lane due to reconstruction works.
At the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Temporary traffic changes have been introduced across the Danube Bridge at Ruse due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the bridge. Traffic is restricted to one lane and is regulated by traffic lights. Drivers can take alternative routes through the checkpoints at Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kaynardzha, and Krushari. The last two of these are closed to heavy-duty trucks and are open to passenger cars from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
At the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points.
Traffic is also normal at all border control checkpoints with Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia.
