site.btaClassification of Service Members' Positions at Defence Ministry Revised

Bulgaria's Council of Ministers on Friday adopted a decree amending and supplementing the Classification of Positions of Service Members at the Ministry of Defence and the Structures Directly Subordinated to the Minister of Defence and the Bulgarian Armed Forces, effective July 1, 2024.

The revisions are prompted by the need to reorganize the existing structural units and to introduce new positions for the logistical support, maintenance and operation of the newly acquired F-16 Block 70 aircraft for the Air Force and modular patrol vessels for the Navy. 

New positions are introduced and existing positions are modified as necessary for the staffing of Air Force and Navy units that are reorganizing in 2024 according to the  Plan for the Development of the Bulgarian Armed Forces until 2026.
