Bulgaria is developing extremely intensively as an industrial country with the introduction of leading green technologies, President Rumen Radev said at the meeting with Secretary of the Party Committee of Haiphong Le Tien Chau. The Bulgarian head of Stae is on an official visit to Vietnam.
"We are particularly honoured to be in one of the leading industrial and cultural centres of modern Vietnam. The success you have achieved is truly impressive. We want to work with you, to have closer cooperation, to share experiences and to understand how you achieve these successes," Radev said.
"Here is one of the largest and leading industrial zones in Vietnam, a leading port and transport hub, the Vin Fast company, which has established itself as a regional leader in solving the problems of electric mobility and the production of electric vehicles. We are interested in how you manage to combine tradition and implement new, innovative, bold, industrial solutions in your development. To share your secret how you manage to attract so many investors from all over the world and at the same time implement green policies in your development, as well as preserve and develop your cultural and historical heritage," Rumen Radev said.
"We can join forces in the automotive sector, where Bulgaria has emerged as a leading center in Europe for the production and development of software in electric mobility," the Bulgarian President further said.
"We share a strong, common political will to further develop and deepen our relations in all areas of mutual interest," he added.
The President noted that he had meetings on Monday with Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Speaker Tran Thanh Man.
Vietnam and Bulgaria are united by good relations, Le Tien Chau said. Bulgaria is among the first countries to recognise and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. "The Vietnamese people remember and will always be grateful for the help of the Bulgarian people in the struggle for our national independence," Le Tien Chau said.
After the meeting, the Bulgarian President and his delegation visited the Vin Fast plant and inspected the production process.
In Vietnam, the President was accompanied by Bulgarian business representatives from the fields of information and high technologies, defence, automotive and transport sectors, engineering, etc. The delegation led by him includes the caretaker ministers of Education and Science Galin Tsokov, of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov and of Tourism Evtim Miloshev, as well as mayors of Bulgarian municipalities.
