site.btaGallup International Balkan Poll: 23.7% of Bulgarians Say They Know Women Victims of Psychological Harassment at Home
A total of 23.7% of respondents in a Gallup International Balkan survey say they know women victims of psychological harassment at home. One in three (33.7%) of women respondents and 13.2% of men know such victims.
The survey commissioned by the Bulgarian National Television was conducted between February 1 and 9 among 808 people through face-to-face interviews using tablets. The sample is representative of the population aged 18 or over, with 1% of the sample representing about 54,000 people.
One in ten (10.1%) of respondents know men victims of psychological harassment at home and 12.4% know such children.
Asked about women victims of domestic violence, 20.4% of men and double that percentage of women know about such victims. Just 3.1% of all respondents know men victims of domestic violence and 9.1% know child victims.
