Health Minister Hristo Hinkov issued a new order banning the export of certain groups of medicines until February 29, 2024, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

These are insulins and their analogues and other blood sugar-lowering drugs, and antibiotics intended for systemic use in childhood. On November 2, 2023, due to growing reports of the lack of these drugs in the pharmacy network, Hinkov banned their export until December 31, 2023. Following an analysis of the situation regarding the availability of the above-mentioned groups of medicinal products, it has been decided to issue an order, which will come into force on February 1 and will be in force until the end of the month.
