site.btaInterior Ministry Begins Checks at Schools across Country over Bomb Threat

The Interior Ministry Tuesday said it is conducting checks at schools across Bulgaria over a bomb threat made via email to the 112 emergency phone number on Monday evening.

The email does not specify which schools are in danger.

The police conducted searchers prior to the start of classes on Tuesday in coordination with regional governors, representatives of regional education departments, and school principals. No bombs have been found yet and classes have not been disrupted.

The checks are planned to continue throughout the day.
