The government has a special concern for Northern Bulgaria, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said during his visit to Montana, Northwestern Bulgaria. He pointed out that a comprehensive package of funding for the road network had already been adopted, some packages of projects were currently being completed and new ones were expected to start, related to the Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo road, the roads to Turkiye and Greece, and the planning of the road from Sofia to Montana and Vidin through the Petrohan pass in the Balkan Mountains, where a tunnel is to be built.
