Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will pay a working visit to Athens, Greece, on January 4, the Government Information Service said in a press release on Wednesday.
Denkov will hold a meeting and a working lunch with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The two will discuss opportunities for expanding the strategic Bulgarian-Greek cooperation and projects of interest to both countries, including in the context of the development of vertical transport and energy connectivity.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, Environment and Water Minister Yulian Popov and Energy Minister Rumen Radev will also attend the working lunch.
Denkov and Mitsotakis held talks in October 2023, when Denkov hosted a trilateral meeting in Euxinograd Residence near the Black Sea city of Varna, which was also attended by their Romanian counterpart Marcel Ciolacu.
