Bulgaria will continue the talks with Austria on entry in the Schengen area "until the last moment". "We will negotiate until the last moment to include land borders in a form that is acceptable to us," Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said as he took a question from the press about that. Austria, which was until recently totally opposed to Schengen enlargement into Bulgaria and Romania, recently soften its stance to suggest conditional and partial accession for air travel only.

"We are negotiating with Austria," Denkov said. He stressed that Bulgaria first has to enter Schengen with the air and sea borders. "Let's enjoy that first," Denkov said.
