site.btaPoor Mountain Hiking Conditions on Saturday
Weather conditions are not appropriate for hiking in the mountains on Saturday, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA. There is strong wind, the temperatures are high and the snow coverage is melting.
The ski season has not started yet. The lift in Bansko is the only one currently operating.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts strong southwesterly wind. Highs: 17C at 1,200 metres, 9C at 2,000 metres.
