Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov has convened an extraordinary meeting of the Council for Security with the Council of Ministers in connection with amendments to the the Control of the Implementation of Restrictive Measures in view of Russia's Actions Destabilizing the Situation in Ukraine Act, the Government information service said.

The meeting will focus on the effects and risks to national security if the bill is voted through, which envisages a waiver within three days of the adoption of the derogation granted by the European Commission for processing of Russian oil by the Bulgarian refinery. The State Agency for National Security, the intelligence agency and the military intelligence will present reports”. 

Invited for participation are National Assembly Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov, Parliamentary Energy Committee Chair Delyan Dobrev, Foreign Policy Committee Chair Boyko Borissov, European Affairs Committee Chair Kiril Petkov, and Economic Policy Committee Chair Hamid Hamid, GERB Floor Leader Dessislava Atanassova and Movement fir Rights and Freedoms Floor Leader Delyan Peevski.
