There is heavy truck traffic at some of the border checkpoints with Romania and Serbia, said the Border Police on Thursday. 

Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, traffic is temporarily narrowed to one lane, regulated by traffic lights. In addition to Ruse, drivers in the region can also head to Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kainardzha and Krushari (no trucks allowed via the last two).

On the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints. Only cars and minibuses are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad checkpoints.

Traffic is normal at all border checkpoints along the border with North Macedonia and Turkiye.
