site.btaBulgaria, North Macedonia PMs Discuss Next Steps in Implementation of Skopje-EU Agreement

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov spoke with his counterpart from the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Council of Ministers said heir official Facebook page. The two discussed the next steps in the implementation of the agreement between Skopje and the EU, which will open the way for  North Macedonia's EU membership.

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov also spoke with former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Munich Security Conference Chair Christoph Heusgen. They discussed threats to security and the capabilities of Europe, the United States and NATO to counteract them.

During the conference, Denkov held a number of conversations, including with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Member of the German Bundestag Johann Wadephul, American Jewish Committee CEO Ted Deutsch, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina, and others.

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Affairs Mariya Gabriel also spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
