Vice President Iotova Meets with Moldova's Parliament Leader

Vice President Iliana Iotova met with Moldova's Parliament President Igor Grosu and the Bulgaria friendship group in the Moldovan legislature. Grosu welcomed the Bulgarian delegation outside the entrance to the Parliament building. He showed Iotova around the debating chamber and briefed her on the structure of the legislature.

Iotova is paying a visit to Moldova on October 31 and November 1 to mark Bessarabian Bulgarians Day and National Awakeners Day together with the local Bulgarian community.

She is also scheduled to meet with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Moldova's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The agenda of the visit is dominated by topical issues for the Bulgarian community in Moldova, which has an over 200-year-long history.
