Vice President Iliana Iotova will pay a visit to Moldova on October 31 and November 1, the presidential press secretariat said. Iotova will mark Bessarabian Bulgarians Day and National Awakeners Day together with the Bulgarian community. 

Iotova will visit the Vasil Levski Bulgarian Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau and the Gregory Tsamblak Taraclia State University, the only Bulgarian higher school abroad. In Chisinau the Vice President will unveil the renovated monument to Hristo Botev and in Taraclia together with Moldovan President Maia Sandu she will open a youth cultural centre named after Vasil Levski and a monument to the freedom fighter. Iotova will give a lecture about modern awakeners at the Taraclia State University. 

During her visit Iotova will hold formal meetings with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Parliament President Igor Grosu. The agenda will be dominated by topical issues for the Bulgarian community in Moldova, which has an over 200-year long history.
