Truck traffic is heavy at some of the border crossing points on the border with Greece and Romania on Thursday morning, Border Police said on its website.

On the border with Greece at the Kalotina checkpoint, traffic is heavy for trucks in both directions. At the other border crossing points the traffic is normal. Border Police advises travellers to use the other checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Greek border.

Vehicles other than cars and minibuses shall not pass through the border crossing points Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

Traffic at the checkpoints Vidin, Kardam, Nikopol and Durankulak on the border with Romania is intensive for trucks. Due to the critically low level of the Danube, the Bechet - Oreahovo ferry will not operate until the level of the river is normalised. Trucks will be redirected to the Ruse and Nikopol crossings.

Traffic is normal at all checkpoints on the border with Serbia. At Kalotina, construction and installation works are being carried out, which require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of the traffic of the vehicles passing through. During the holidays, crossing the border there may take longer than usual.

At the border with North Macedonia, traffic is normal. Construction works are ongoing at Stanke Lisichkovo, and the temporary detours are still in place.

Traffic is normal at all checkpoints on the border with Turkiye.
