Bulgaria has a stand at the largest agricultural exhibition in Romania - INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023, which started Wednesday and will last until October 29. Visitors to the event can see Bulgarian fruits presented by producers from the Dobrudzha Fruit Growers Union, the Union of Danube Fruit Growers, the Bulgarian Greenhouse Growers Association and the Bulgarian Association of Raspberry and Berry Growers.

The stand is organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the State Agriculture Fund.

Due to the deteriorated market conditions Bulgarian producers in the sector are finding it increasingly difficult to achieve competitive prices, Dobrudzha Fruit Growers Union Chair Dimitrichka Turpanova said. The sector is in danger of shrinking, she added as quoted by Dobrudzha Fruit Growers Union. According to Turpanova, participation in such fairs and the contacts established support producers in reaching international markets and contributes to the implementation of timely measures to effectively promote domestically produced produce, which is one way to overcome the difficulties.

This year's edition of INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023 is attended by more than 550 companies from the agricultural and food sector from 23 countries. The exhibition space reaches 30,000 square metres and is expected to welcome more than 40,000 visitors from all over the world.
