The official introduction of Kosovo Ambassador to Bulgaria Haxhi Bajraktari to the members of the Kosovo-Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce took place on Friday at the Central Military Club in Sofia, the business organization said here on Friday. According to the charter of the Chamber, he rightfully became its honorary president.

Addressing the members and guests at the event, Bajraktari expressed his happiness to be a part of this organization. “I will work towards securing more business for Kosovo and Bulgaria," he noted.

Hotech Balkans, the first company from the Republic of Kosovo to join the Chamber, also received an official membership certificate. Hotech is one of the market leaders in specialized hotel software. 

The Chamber members and guests - representatives of more than 15 Bulgarian and Kosovo business communities - were participants in a panel discussion on the market conditions and the investment climate in Kosovo. Panelist was Ardian Spahiu, Regulatory Advisor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo. In his presentation, Spahiu informed about the opportunities and challenges regarding investment and business development in Kosovo in sectors such as food and food security, textiles, energy, tourism, information technology and education. He highlighted Kosovo's bid to become a regional hub for investment in the Balkans, a free economic zone and last but not least - to join the big European family.
