At the initiative of Bulgaria's Constitutional Court, a Balkan Constitutional Forum will be set up in October as a follow-up on the good cooperation with the constitutional courts of neighbouring Balkan countries. The forum will be a tool for exchange of ideas, good practices and experience in constitutional law, the Constitutional Court reported here on Tuesday.

The first annual meeting will take place at Sofia's Milennium Hotel on October 27 with constitutional magistrates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Romania, North Macedonia, Turkiye, Croatia and Montenegro.

Attending the forum in Sofia will be President of the Court of Justice of the European Union Koen Lanaerts, Marko Bosnjak, Vice President of the European Court of Human Rights and European Commission Vice President Vera Jourova.

Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabirel and Justice Minister Atanas Slavov will address participants in the forum.
