The Balkan Immigrants Economic Research and Social Assistance Foundation (BISAV) - the largest society of Balkan expatriates in the Ankara area - in cooperation with the Turkish-Japanese Foundation opened an exhibition of the famous Turkish artist Ayla Renda.

The event was organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkiye.

The exhibition of miniatures was opened on Monday evening at the Cultural Centre of the Turkish-Japanese Foundation in the capital's Oran district.

The event was attended by BISAV chairman Dr. Yuksel Ozkale, Turkish-Japanese Foundation chairman Prof. Dr. Nejat Bora, Bulgarian Ambassador to Ankara Angel Cholakov, and MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Zeynep Yildiz.

MP Zeynep Yildiz said that BISAV organizes very important and valuable events in Ankara, adding that in this way the culture of the Balkan countries is presented very well.

Ayla Renda was born in 1942 in Bursa. She is a descendant of emigrants from the Balkans. She graduated in geology.

The exhibition at the Turkish-Japanese Foundation Cultural Centre will run until 23 October.
