The ferry service between Bulgaria's Oryahovo and Romania's Bechet was suspended on Thursday over the low level of the Danube. Freight vehicles are redirected to the Russe and Nikopol border control checkpoints until the water level returns to normal.

According to information on the Border Police's website, there was heavy traffic for heavy duty trucks at the Vidin and Kardam border crossings with Romania on Thursday morning.

The traffic was normal at all border crossings with Serbia, Greece, and North Macedonia.
