Traffic is intense at some border crossings with Romania for trucks, the Border Police General Directorate reported on its website on Wednesday morning.

The traffic is intense at the checkpoints Vidin, Durankulak, Kardam, Oryahovo and Nikopol for exiting trucks. Crossing through the joint border checkpoints Kainardzha/Lipnitsa and Krushari/Dobromir is possible between 8 am and 8 pm.

At the border with Serbia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Border checks at Kalotina are carried out at eight points of entry for cars and at five points of exit for cars. The checkpoint is undergoing reconstruction and modernisation works. The works require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of the traffic of the vehicles passing through. To avoid heavy traffic, travellers are advised to use the other checkpoints at the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

At the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. In addition to Kulata and Makaza, citizens travelling to and from Greece can use the other crossing points on the Bulgarian-Greek border - Ilinden, Zlatograd, Ivaylovgrad and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda. Only cars and minibuses can pass through the checkpoints of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

At the borders with North Macedonia and Turkiye, traffic is normal at all checkpoints.
