site.btaForeign Minister Gabriel Talks on Telephone with Romanian Counterpart Odobescu

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel had a telephone conversation with Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu, the Bulgarian top diplomat said on Facebook on Thursday.

The two foreign ministers discussed Bulgaria's and Romania's accession to Schengen, security in the Black Sea region, the Three Seas Initiative. Their talks also focused on the regional connectivity meeting with the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, which will take place on 9 October.

"I thank the Minister for the conversation and look forward to meeting her in Bulgaria soon," Gabriel wrote in her post.

In June, Luminita Odobescu was sworn in as foreign minister in the government led by Social Democrat Marcel Ciolacu in front of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis at the Cotroceni Palace.
