An information meeting with representatives of the small and medium-sized business from the region of Taraclia was initiated by the programme manager with the European Union representation in Moldova Boris Filipov. 

The expert gave a presentation in Bulgaria of EU programmes and projects through which local businessmen could contribute to the development of the region and the country.

Boris Filipov presented in detail the support which the European Union provided in the past years with the start and development of business initiatives in Moldova.

He spoke of the instruments, financial guarantees and the new projects which are underway and those that have been completed in the region of Taraclia. 

The programme manager advised businessmen to be active. “If there are good projects, there will be support,” said Filipov. 

„For us this information is very important. We are holding a large number of meetings with partners and colleagues from the administrations in Romania and Bulgaria who always tell us to prepare our business. When we accede the European Union, the businessmen and the people who develop the economy of the region, will already be prepared and will be able to achieve the desired results," said Taraclia District Chairman Ivan Paslar, who presented the guest. 

Attending were Deputy Taraclia District Chairman Alexander Borimechkov and Irina Nikiforova, head of the district economic development and investment administration.

After the presentation the European expert answered ques6tions and listened to the problems which business meet in the implementation of the EU projects.

In the region of Taraclia there are 290 small and medium-sized businesses.
