Bulgarian national wrestler Abu Muslim Amaev won a silver medal at the Senior European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, after losing in the final in the men’s 67 kg Greco-Roman event to Hasrat Jafarov of Azerbaijan. Amaev conceded seven points in the first half of the bout and earned just one point in the second, awarded for his opponent's passivity, resulting in a final score of 1:7.

This marks Bulgaria’s second silver medal at the tournament, following Olympic champion Semen Novikov, who also lost his final match in the men’s 87 kg Greco-Roman event on Friday.

At the European Championships, Bulgaria also claimed a gold and a bronze - Olympic champion Magomed Ramazanov won the freestyle wrestling title at the men’s 86 kg event on Wednesday, while Bilyana Dudova won bronze at the women's 62 kg event on Friday.
