An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was registered Monday morning 1.6 km northwest of the southern town of Batak, Pazardzhik Region, the Seismological Service of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences reported on its website. The earthquake was registered at 04:59 am and was 16 km deep.
