site.btaExacta Polling Agency Survey: Four Political Formations Expected to Send Representatives in European Parliament

May 23 (BTA) - Two days before voting day in the European
 elections in Bulgaria, four political formations look certain
to have representatives in the next European Parliament: GERB,
the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) For Bulgaria coalition, the
Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), and the Internal
Macedonian Revolutionary Organization-Bulgarian National
Movement (VMRO-BNM), a poll of the Exacta Research Group
released on Thursday shows.

According to the poll, GERB gets 32.4 per cent of the votes of
the voters who declared their intention to go to the polls, BSP
For Bulgaria, 27.3 per cent, MRF, 13.3 per cent, and VMRO-BNM,
6.5 per cent. This means that GERB would have seven MEPs, BSP,
six, MRF three, and VMRO-BNM, one.

Volya-Bulgarian Patriots gets 4.5 per cent, Democratic Bulgaria,
 4.3. per cent, Ataka and Patriots for Valeri Simeonov, two per
cent each, and the Coalition For Bulgaria, 1.8 per cent.

The pollsters note that although GERB and BSP entered the
election campaign with similar standings, GERB has managed to
gain headway and outstrip BSP. What the ultimate difference
between the two will be will dependas on the votes of the
undecided voters.

The poll also shows that the European election is perceived as
more important by the supporters of GERB (54 per cent) than by
those of BSP (45 per cent).

An equal share of the voters of both formations, 42 per cent,
plan to mark their preferential choice.

The voter turnout is expected to be between 26 and 32 per cent.
In Sofia it is expected to be lower than the average. The
pollster notes that extraordinary events in the run-up to the
election may drive away or attract more voters.

The Exacta nationally representative poll was conducted between
May 18 and 22, among 1,000 adult Bulgarians from 91 population
centres, taking place in semi-standard face-to-face interviews.
It was independent from external financing and performed with
