Now more than ever Bulgaria needs political stability, a parliament and government working in sync and effective social cooperation for shared responsibilities on difficult decisions, President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Plamen Dimitrov said on Tuesday during a national conference to mark the 35th anniversary of the trade union. The forum is entitled "For a secure future in green and digital changes" and is held at the National Palace of Culture.

Joining the eurozone is a key prerequisite for achieving income growth targets, Dimitrov said. Joining the eurozone and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are factors that will further boost Bulgaria's economy in the coming years, he added. In his words, this is important against the backdrop of the realignment of the world agenda.

Through social dialogue and collective bargaining, a secure future for workers can be built, despite the uncertain future in this new reality, the CITUB President said.
