The State's budget for 2025 should be adopted by March 10, National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova told journalists here on Monday. The Finance Minister has committed to submit the draft budget to Parliament by mid-February, Kiselova said.
"We have to comply with the Act on the Collection of Revenues and the Commitment of Expenditures in 2025 [bill bridging the public finance gap until the passage of the three budget laws for 2025], which is valid until the end of March, she added. Kiselova said she expects the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works to review the actual documentation of the submitted municipal projects and to work on their funding as a priority.
Asked why the rating of the country's institutions was low, the Parliament Chair said this was happening because the institutions were dealing with problems that were not the real problems of the people and were promising unrealistic things.
Natalia Kiselova was in Kozloduy for a meeting with citizens. Earlier in the day she visited the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant and said she was impressed by the safety controls and the dedication of the staff.
