Bulgaria's Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Metin Kazak and Metodi Gerasimov, head of the Consular Service at the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Amman, met with Nabil Khatib, the First Vice Chair of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), the Bulgarian Embassy in Jordan reported on its Facebook page on Thursday. The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen the trade relations between the two countries.
The talks highlighted the need to organize bilateral trade delegations that would familiarize their members with the business environment and investment opportunities.
The meeting was also attended by ACC Director General Ghaleb Hijazi who was assured by Kazak that the Bulgarian Embassy in Amman will work hard in coordination with the Chamber to achieve the set objectives.
According to ACC data, trade between Jordan and Bulgaria for the last 10 months of 2024 amounted to about 30 million Jordanian dinars or about EUR 41.147 million. Jordanian exports mainly cover products from the chemical and food industries, while imports from Bulgaria are mainly plant products, machinery and mechanical devices, and prepared foods.
