Turkiye’s gendarmerie has detained 86 people suspected of child pornography distribution, cybercrime, and illegal internet betting.

Transactions amounting to TRY 91.4 million have been spotted in the detainees’ accounts. Unlicensed firearms, fake driving licenses, laptops, and digital materials were seized during an operation codenamed “Cybernet 4”, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on X, formerly Twitter.

The operation was carried out in coordination with the Turkish Gendarmerie General Command’s unit that deals with cybercrime, in cooperation with the provincial gendarmerie commands.
