There Is Such a People (TISP) will talk with MPs of the left-wing BSP for Bulgaria on Thursday afternoon in a bid to enlist support for the formation of a cabinet on the third and last exploratory mandate. TISP was mandated to form a government by President Rumen Radev on Monday.

The invitation to the talks was addressed to BSP for Bulgaria Floor Leader Borislav Gutsanov. TISP said in their letter the country is going through a deep political, economic and social crisis, and the trust between people and MPs has been broken.

TISP has already held talks with two groups of MPs from the dissolved parliamentary group of Velichie and with MPs of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) who have either been expelled or have left the parliamentary group as they oppose MRF co-leader Delyan Peevski and are loyal to MRF Honorary Chairman Ahmed Dogan.

Support for the formation of a government under the third exploratory mandate has grown to 48 MPs, TISP Deputy Floor Leader Stanislav Balabanov said after Wednesday's talks with MRF. On Tuesday, the mandated group found common ground with six independent MPs from the former group of Velichie, after which TISP Floor Leader Toshko Yordanov said 22 MPs supported the formation of a government.
