The price of natural gas in December is expected to be BGN 76/MWh, the CEO of Bulgargaz Veselin Sinabov said during Thursday's open meeting of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC). This represents an increase of 10.64% compared to the November price of BGN 68.69/MWh.
The meeting considered the report related to Bulgargaz's application of November 11 for approval of the price for the next month at which the public supplier is to sell natural gas to end-suppliers and persons licensed for production and transmission of heat.
Sinabov said that the new price of BGN 76 is higher than the originally proposed BGN 74 due to the growth of the TTF index and increased supply requirements. He added that the price is still competitive, as it is about BGN 10 lower than the TTF pricing index.
The EWRC approved a natural gas price of BGN 68.69/MWh (exclusive of excise duty and value added tax) for November.
