The participants in the 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media Thursday visited the Bolhrad high school named after Bulgarian freedom fighter Georgi Rakovski.

The 19th Meeting is taking place in Odesa, Bolhrad and Izmail June 19-21. The traditional forum of representatives of the Bulgarian-language media abroad is organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). 

Meeting the journalists with a ritual bread and traditional Bulgarian music, the school principal, Snezhana Skoric, said that such meetings enhance Ukraine-Bulgaria relations and help preserve the mother tongue, culture and traditions.

The delegation of participants in the 19th Meeting includes BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Bulgarian National Radio Director Milen Mitev, Council for Electronic Media head Gabriela Naplatanova, Sofia University Rector Dr Georgi Valchev, Bulgarian Consul General in Odesa Svetoslav Ivanov, the Executive Director of the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, Raina Mandzhukova, BTA Deputy Director General Evgenia Drumeva, and many media representatives.

BTA is organizing the 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media in Odesa, Bolhrad, and Izmail, Ukraine, from June 18 to June 21, 2024. The event is taking place with the support of Aurubis Bulgaria, A1 Bulgaria, Glavbolgarstroy Holding AD, Euroins Insurance Group, Postbank, SOF Connect, and the 13 Centuries of Bulgaria National Endowment Fund.
