site.btaExtreme Weather Alert for High Temperatures and Hail Storms in Most of Bulgaria on Wednesday

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology issued Tuesday an extreme weather alert for heat wave and hail storms for 22 out of Bulgaria's 28 regions on Wednesday. Southern and eastern Bulgaria will get extremely high temperatures (37-38 C), as will the Black Sea coast (30-33 C). In the North of the country, the forecast is for brief intense rain showers with thunder and hail.

The hail storms are expected in the afternoon.
