site.btaDikova-Dimitrov Wins Gold at European Transplant Championships' Women Singles Tennis Event

Irene Dikova-Dimitrov won the gold medal in tennis at the European Transplant Sports Championships (ETSC) women singles event after defeating Marcia Navest from the Netherlands 6-1 on Tuesday. The Championships are taking place in Lisbon between July 21 and 28.

Dikova-Dimitrov has a lung transplant. She will also represent Bulgaria in the table tennis event on Wednesday.

The ETSC has gathered athletes from 28 European countries as a celebration of life, which also demonstrates the benefits of donating life-saving organs. Bulgaria's team is comprised of 11 athletes.
