In a letter, the Minister of Justice in the technical government of North Macedonia, Krenar Loga, expresses concern over VMRO-DPMNE's intention to dissolve the Judicial Council and the Council of Public Prosecutors. The letter is addressed to the Ambassadors of the US, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium, to the OSCE Mission in Skopje, to the Council of Europe Programme Office, to the US Department of State through the US Embassy in Skopje, and to the European Commission in Brussels. The letter, in which Loga assesses the intentions of the winning party in the recent parliamentary elections as "an invasion of the parliamentary majority into the justice system", was also published on the Facebook page of North Macedonia's Ministry of Justice.

Evaluating VMRO-DPMNE's ideas as premature and dangerous, Loga writes that the announcements about the dissolution of the two councils would lead to a concentration of power in one party, which "would mean a repetition of the pre-2017 situation" during the government of Nikola Gruevski.

"The ruling majority must respect the assessment made of the situation and hold consultations on all the obligations and responsibilities that the Republic of North Macedonia has assumed in agreement with the European Union and other international partners," Loga writes.

When presenting their election programme called "Platform 1198", VMRO-DPMNE announced that if they win the elections they will adopt a package of laws that will dissolve the Judicial Council and the Council of Public Prosecutors due to the need for deep reforms in the Judiciary.
