The conditions in the high parts of the mountains are not suitable for tourism, the Mountain Rescue Service informed BTA. The weather is windy and foggy. Temperatures are 4-5C, higher than the day before. In some places there is a new snow cover of 5-10 cm. In the lower parts of the mountains it has been raining.

The lift facilities in the mountain resorts are working. Mountain rescuers advise tourists to take trips to the mountains prepared for winter conditions and not to overestimate their own capabilities.

In the morning, cloudiness will be significant over the mountains and light snow will still fall in separate places in Western Bulgaria, according to the weather forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. After noon, the clouds will break and reduce to mostly sunny weather, with moderate to strong west-northwesterly wind.
