site.bta255 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Bulgaria since Yesterday

August 5 (BTA) - Two hundred and fifty-five new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Bulgaria, out of 5,325 PCR tests performed in the past 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 12,414, according to the latest information published on the national coronavirus information platform on Wednesday morning.

In the past 24 hours, 280 people have recovered from the virus and 11 people have died.

There are a total of 847 hospitalized coronavirus patients, 41 of which are in intensive care units.

Confirmed cases among medical staff have reached 711.

Most new cases were reported in Blagoevgrad (43), followed by Sofia (34), Plovdiv (32) and Varna (31). RI/DT
