Bulgarian music will be performed in three Irish cities: Thomastown, Wexford, and Tramore. The Irish-Bulgarian duo Celtaura of Thomas Keating and Lora Panosyan will present a concert programme featuring emblematic songs and music themes from the Bulgarian and Celtic folklore in an instrumental version, the artists said.
They will acquaint the Irish audience with some of the most beloved Bulgarian folk songs, such as Izlel e Delyo Haydutin, Vecheray, Rado, and Pustono Ludo, which will be performed on a harp, piano, Irish flute, bagpipe, fiddle, and handpan.
In December 2024, Celtaura gave concerts in Varna, Gabrovo, and Nessebar.
Celtaura was founded by Thomas Keating from Waterford, Ireland, and Lora Panosyan from Burgas, Bulgaria. Based in Ireland, the duo perform music that blends traditional, Celtic and Eastern melodies, folk rhythms, and world music elements with nuances of classical, jazz and progressive flavour.
